Thursday, June 20th
6:00 p.m. at River City Roll

Thanks to our two rocking volunteers, Tommy Bishop & Robbie Bassett, we are rolling full steam towards our “new” summer event, L A W Y E R P A L O O Z A.

Yes, that’s right, lawyers sometimes have a life and talents outside the legal arena! Don’t believe it, then come join us on Thursday, June 20th at River City Roll for an evening of local musical talent, beverages and casual networking for a good cause!

Lawyerpalooza is a fundraising event and all proceeds will go to support the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation’s (GRBF) mission to expand access to justice in Central Virginia and will help GRBF with its efforts to mobilize, train and connect attorneys to pro bono clients.

About our Lawyerpalooza co-chairs, Tommy Bishop & Robbie Basset!

Tommy is a guitarist from Richmond.  He is also a new attorney with Williams Mullen, entering the law after a decade-long career as a Spanish teacher (he still answers to “Señor”).  He earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2018, and holds a B.A. from VCU and a Master’s in Education from the University of Richmond.  Tommy lives in Lakeside with his girlfriend, who dutifully puts up with his squealing electric guitar at all hours of the day and night.

Robbie Bassett is in-house counsel at Capital One where he manages IP and Tech litigation matters. He attended undergrad at UVA (’02) and received his JD from the TC Williams School of Law in 2008. You can usually find him at a local music venue at least once per week and he’s hard to miss with that 70s era mustache.
